5 Days Desert Trip By Camels Departure From The Camp
After a good breakfast at our desert camp, the team will load the camels with all the mobile camp equipment, including the kitchen staff, tents and blankets. Start the trekking by camel for 5 days to the famous Marabout. Sidi Naji. After 1 hour of walking, we take a break for rest and give you some fruits like oranges to break the routine and create unique opportunities to take photos of the caravan. After some hours of walking, we will stop for lunch in the shade of a tamarisk tree. In the afternoon, we will continue trekking towards Sidi Naji dunes, where we will set up the camp before sunset. You will have free time to enjoy the sunset from the top of the dune. Musical evening around the campfire. Night in a Berber tent or under the stars.
Today, we will follow the same way of folding the mobile camp and loading camels with it after your breakfast. Sunrise makes the trekking start an exceptional experience that piques your curiosity about the nomadic life. The next destination will be Erg Zahar, one of the famous places in the area, where we will have lunch and night in that place that you explore more about. Crossing the beautiful different landscapes is a memorable experience. Arrive at Erg Zahar's dunes at noon. In the afternoon you have free time. You will enjoy walking on the dunes of Erg Zahar and admiring the gorgeous sunset view on the top of the dunes. Tonight, You will have the opportunity to discover and taste the sand bread (bread baked in hot sand)—traditional nomads' music around the campfire. You have the option of sleeping either in tents or under the sky.
After your breakfast at the campsite at Erg Zahar dunes, Our desert trip continues to Arigat Ait Ounir. We will walk on foot enthusiastically and happily. The local team will explain every feature of the desert and help you to understand more about nomadic life. We stop for lunch in the heart of the desert, where the tranquillity and the silence cover the area. In the afternoon, we continue trekking towards Arigat Ait Ounir. You will spend beautiful moments riding the dunes and gazing at the stars in the evening. Then, enjoy the excellent local music the team plays around the campfire, where every song has a meaning passed from generation to generation.
We fold the mobile camp and load the camels with that. Then, we will say goodbye to Arigat Ait Ounir and move happily towards the next destination. Following the same trekking method, we will walk for some hours until the break for lunch. The landscapes again will vary from tamarisk trees, Erg, Reg and Hammada. Once we break for lunch, the team will collect wood for the fire to brew natural tea and satisfyingly prepare lunch so that our guests get the best feeling and experience of the nomadic life. After lunch in the shade of a tamarisk tree, we will head towards Douib Dunes, noted for its lovely dunes and fantastic atmosphere.
After the sunset and setting up the camp, We will make a campfire to enjoy the local music and dance with us. It is the moment that we free our minds and entertain ourselves in the welcoming desert. Then, night in a tent or under the stars.
On the fifth day, the caravan returns to our desert camp near Mhamid town. Arrive at lunchtime, and it is time to leave the camel and the team. After saying goodbye to the team, in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a lovely warm shower, dinner, and night at the camp.
